Mr. Homchick chairs Davis Wright Tremaine’s Health Law Practice Group. He concentrates his practice in the areas of health law and regulatory compliance.
Representative Experience
Counseling health care providers on regulatory compliance, fraud and abuse, and physician self-referral
Representing hospitals, physicians, health plans, skilled nursing facilities, pharmacies, home health agencies and other providers
Assisting physicians, hospitals and other providers in the formation and operation of joint ventures
Development and implementation of compliance programs
Broad range of experience in investigations, administrative proceedings and litigation
Defending audits, licensure challenges, provider contract termination disputes, payment suspensions and other administrative proceedings
Defending health plans, providers and individuals in qui tam False Claims Act lawsuits
Publications and Presentations
Writes and lectures on a variety of health law issues for organizations such as the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA), Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA), Hospital Association of Southern California (HASC); Washington State Society of Healthcare Attorneys (WSSHA) and Medical Group Managers Association (MGMA)
Publications and speeches focus on fraud and abuse, physician self-referral,joint ventures and other forms of integration; qui tam litigation, internal investigations and corporate compliance programs
