Representative Experience
City of Burien v. State of Washington. Currently represent two non-governmental entities that are among the plaintiffs seeking to invalidate Initiative 722, the tax limitation measure enacted in November, 2000.
Legislature v. Locke. Represented the Washington Legislature in a challenge to the item veto authority of the governor. Handled briefing and oral argument to the Washington Supreme Court.
Lockheed Martin IMS v. California. Part of a team representing the State of California in litigation against Lockheed Martin IMS, arising out of a failed $130 million contract to develop a child support enforcement computer system. Seven week trial in 1999. Currently on appeal.
Northwest Forestry Association v. Forest Practices Board. Represented a timber industry trade group that successfully challenged the Board's practice of relying on emergency rather than permanent rules.
