Roxanne Elings is recognized as one of the nation's leading trademark and brand management attorneys. She has been lead counsel in more than 60 trials, substantive court hearings, and appellate arguments. Roxanne has been repeatedly at the forefront of creating legal precedent, including first to obtain orders using Rule 65 to address the challenges resulting from online IP theft, first to obtain an ex parte asset restraint order in a trademark counterfeiting matter, and first to obtain an order applying the concept of extraterritorial jurisdiction in cases arising under the Lanham Act.
Roxanne was acknowledged as one of "The 20 Most Influential Women in IP" by Law360, is regularly ranked as one of the "Top 250 Women in IP" by Managing Intellectual Property, and one of the top attorneys nationally in trademark prosecution, enforcement/litigation, and anti-counterfeiting by World Trademark Review. "A highly capable litigator with a substantial deal of legal knowledge, she has a way of getting to the heart of any problem." Her clients note that "there are very few practitioners out there with as deep an understanding of complex multijurisdictional trademark matters as her." Roxanne is also seen by clients as "extremely efficient, strategic, and responsive," and an "absolute pleasure to deal with."
She was the first to obtain orders that addressed the challenges resulting from online IP theft: The North Face Apparel Corp. and PRL USA Inc. v. Fujian Trading; Advanced Access Content System Licensing Administrator v. Feng Tao; and Twentieth Century Fox v. Wang Wei d/b/a DVDSea.com.
