At the Heart of Doing Good: Pro Bono Ethics
When
Davis Wright Tremaine is thrilled to invite you to a free ethics CLE that will cover the special rules that apply to in-house attorneys and professional staff doing pro bono work. Hear from Davis Wright Tremaine's Chief Pro Bono & Social Impact Officer, Joanna P. Boisen and Partner, Hugh McCullough, attorneys who are deeply knowledgeable about professional responsibility and pro bono service. Joanna and Hugh will discuss the application of state Rules of Professional Conduct, the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct, and any Proposed Rules of Professional Conduct relevant to pro bono legal service. They will cover the basics of pro bono and various ethical concerns unique to pro bono, especially as they relate to attorneys at in-house legal departments, applying case law and hypothetical fact patterns to illustrate the application of the rules.
CLE credits for this program: OH- 1.0 Ethics Credit; WA- 1.0 Ethics Credit. All credits and credit types are pending and not guaranteed. Upon request, if you are admitted to practice law in another state, we will provide a certificate of attendance and documentation to assist you in applying for CLE credit in your state of admission. Accreditation for other jurisdictions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
