MAY 2, 2012 –Sharon L. Schneier, a partner in the New York office of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, has been named chair of the Executive Committee, the firm’s main policy-making body.
Ms. Schneier, who was previously New York partner-in-charge, has a successful commercial litigation practice, with a particular focus on complex matters.
"I am thrilled to have Sharon working with me to lead the Executive Committee," said Dave Baca, DWT’s managing partner. "She has been a tremendous leader in the firm for many years, and her vision and focus will serve us well as we execute on our strategic plan."

Ms. Schneier received her B.A. from the State University at Albany and her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
Mark Berry, the partner-in-charge of Davis Wright’s Bellevue, Wash., office, has been named vice-chair of the Executive Committee.
