AUGUST 4, 2023 – Two Los Angeles partners from Davis Wright Tremaine LLP have been included in the Daily Journal's 2023 list of Top Labor and Employment Lawyers in California.
Camilo Echavarria, a veteran litigator who is Davis Wright's Los Angeles and Culver City partner-in-charge, and Evelyn Wang, who was elevated to partner this year, were both recognized.
Echavarria "manages the defense of many of the firm's single-plaintiff employment cases," the publication noted, highlighting his recent representation of two leading healthcare institutions in discrimination cases. A longtime champion for diverse attorneys, Echavarria has held a number of DEI leadership roles within and outside the firm and was recently elected chair of Davis Wright's highest decision-making body, the executive committee.
Wang represents employers in state and federal courts on matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour class actions, and other employment-related claims. She became interested in employment law, she told the Daily Journal, after watching her father, an immigrant from Taiwan, navigate the challenges of owning a small business.
Davis Wright's labor and employment practice is one of the largest such groups in the country and was recently recognized by Chambers USA as a nationwide leader for excellence.
