AUGUST 1, 2024 — Bloomberg Law has named Davis Wright Tremaine LLP to its DEI Framework for the fourth year in a row. Firms included in the Framework — a listing of law firms that meet or exceed a rising standard for diversity, equity, and inclusion — have shown distinguished performance against standards in each of six areas: firm demographics, leadership and talent pipeline, recruitment and retention, business innovation and strategy, marketing, and diversity and inclusion in the community.
The Framework recognizes a commitment to DEI through a rigorous, quantitative methodology. Nearly 60 U.S.-based law firms made the list this year.
"Davis Wright Tremaine's commitment to DEI not only sets them apart, but also propels the entire legal field forward," said Alex Butler, vice president of analysis and content at Bloomberg Law. "We are proud to recognize their performance by listing them in our fourth annual Bloomberg Law DEI Framework."
"We are proud to be recognized by Bloomberg once again," said Yusuf Zakir, chief diversity, equity, and inclusion officer at Davis Wright. "We continue to view this as a call to action and we remain steadfast in our commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion." Davis Wright has cemented its commitment to DEI within its five-year, firmwide strategic plan. The firm's own four-pillar DEI framework — Community, Growth, Education, and Engagement — seeks to embed DEI across the organization in a sustainable and meaningful way.
