OCTOBER 11, 2024Auger, a company that aims to revolutionize global supply chain management with AI-powered automation and a consumer-grade user experience, announced it has launched with a $100 million investment from the venture capital firm Oak HC/FT.

A cross-practice team from Davis Wright Tremaine LLP represented Bellevue, WA-based Auger in the investment transaction, as well as in a range of other matters related to the company's launch.

Auger is led by Dave Clark, a 23-year veteran of Amazon, who spent more than a decade on the company's S-team, Jeff Bezos' select group of senior leaders driving overall strategy. He served as Amazon's chief supply chain officer as well as CEO Worldwide Consumer. He was most recently CEO of the supply chain logistic platform Flexport.

Said Clark: "Auger delivers the intuitive, automated, and transformative supply chain solution I've always envisioned."

The DWT team was led by Martha Phelps, Zach Bench, and Drake Glesmann, and included Jim Wreggelsworth, Angela Vogel, Amy Hwang, Kathy Dent, Devin Smith, Sheila Fox Morrison, and paralegals Mike Houck and Allie Schwenn.

Said Phelps: "We're honored to work with Dave and his team of world-class experts as they build the future of supply chain management. This transaction underscores the growing strength of DWT's emerging company practice in the Pacific Northwest, on top of our team's already strong capabilities in the Bay Area."
