We invite you to join us for a discussion that will explore how consumer financial data aggregators are driving innovation in financial technology and analyze how the CFPB's recent principles on data aggregation will affect this growing market. We will be discussing:
- The mechanics of data aggregation activities and the innovation that it supports, including artificial intelligence technologies that power advanced marketing engines, enhanced underwriting capabilities, improved customer service, and simplified account portability;
- The details of the CFPB's principles on data aggregation and how financial institutions should respond to them, including changes to contractual agreements with data aggregators, the use of APIs, data security requirements, and more;
- How the CFPB's principles compare with the European Union's Payment Services Directive 2 and the UK's open banking initiative; and
- The circumstances for additional regulatory intervention.
Jason Kratovil, Vice President of Government Affairs for Payments at the Financial Services Roundtable will moderate the conversation, and will be joined by panelists Adam Maarec, Counsel at Davis Wright Tremaine, and Ramon Gomez, Executive Director at JPMorgan Chase.
