Valerie Biberaj
Valerie is the Director of the Kate Spade & Company Foundation, as well as Director of Philanthropic Programming for Kate Spade & Company. In this role, she oversees the Foundation’s work of empowering underprivileged women in New York City through technology, entrepreneurship and the arts. Valerie has worked for a number of non-profit organizations, notably helping launch The Lunchbox Fund's app, Feedie, which translates food photo uploads into actual meals for children in South Africa. Previously, she worked in the General Counsel and Chief of Staff’s offices at David Yurman where her projects included the reinvention of the Yurman Foundation.
Lane Bowes
Lane is one of the nation’s preeminent experts on oral communication, presentation and persuasive advocacy. Her clients include the world’s leading corporations, law firms and government agencies and associations. Lane’s unique "method" of communication coaching has transformed the lives of thousands of corporate executives, entrepreneurs, lawyers, government officials, politicians, and judges in the United States and abroad.
Barbara Clarke
Barbara is a nationally-recognized investor in early stage technology companies, and is a recognized voice for advocating inclusive innovation. Each company in her portfolio has at least one woman in a leadership role and over a quarter have people of color in a leadership role. She is a mentor to many entrepreneurial organizations including StartOut, as its first straight ally in its lesbian entrepreneurial mentor program.
Martinelle Cole
Martinelle has over twenty years of experience working in the field of professional development. She focuses on career development, substantive and core skills training, mentoring and diversity and inclusion. Martinelle is the Director of Professional Development at Davis Wright Tremaine.
Jake Dunlap
Jake is a senior-level sales executive and entrepreneur with 12 years of experience working with global 2000 and start-up companies. Jake is the CEO and founder of Skaled, a consulting firm that accelerates sales organization growth by examining fundamental sales processes and using cutting edge technology to enable clients to optimize, modernize, and thrive in the constantly evolving world of SMB & Enterprise sales.
Roxanne Elings
Roxanne chairs DWT’s fashion industry practice and is one of the nation’s leading trademark and brand management attorneys, concentrating on protecting brands on a worldwide basis. She represents many of the leading fashion, luxury and other consumer brands.
Laurie Jakobsen
Laurie is the founder of Jaybird Communications, providing a full range of strategic public relations services for digital businesses, especially startups, B2B, and music-related ventures. Laurie is a proven public relations and marketing communications expert, with over 20 years of experience representing digital media and music companies.
Mary Juetten
Mary is the founder and CEO of Traklight which provides the only self-guided software platform that creates custom intellectual property strategy and business risk assessments. Mary has represented entrepreneurs on the Board of the Crowdfunding Investment Regulatory Advocates and is currently on the Emerging Enterprise Committee of the Licensing Executives Society.
Lenore Kantor
Lenore founded Launch Warrior to help emerging companies achieve results. As a corporate growth coach, Lenore is a strategic advisor to financial, technology and professional services companies and their founders around increasing revenues, improving efficiency, and retaining staff and clients. Lenore’s experience includes launching more than 100 products and services over 20 years.
Jisoo Kim
Jisoo is a corporate attorney who represents clients in business transactions. She has broad transactional experience across industries with a concentrated focus on privately-held companies in the technology and food and beverage sectors. Jisoo also advises early stage companies and their investors with respect to entity formation, venture financings and other general corporate matters.
Lynn Loacker
Lynn, the founder of WEB, is the Partner-in-Charge of DWT’s New York office and an accomplished corporate finance/M&A lawyer. She works with companies from startups to Fortune 500 companies in many different industries.
Jules Miller
Jules is the co-founder and COO of Hire An Esquire, the first and only technology company to offer enterprise legal staffing. Prior to founding HAE, Jules worked in the technology and venture capital industries for over 10 years. As COO of HAE, she is responsible for operations, finance and sales.
Nathalie Molina Niño
Nathalie launched her first startup at the age of 20, and later was involved in launching and growing a multinational business with Lionbridge into a $100M operation. Following that success, Nathalie earned a degree in playwriting at Columbia University, driven by the belief in the importance of storytelling in business. In 2012, Nathalie co-founded Entrepreneurship@Athena at the Athena Center for Leadership studies of Barnard College at Columbia University, with the mission of leveling the playing field for women entrepreneurs, where she remains involved as a founding advisor.
Lorine Pendleton
Lorine Pendleton is a seasoned business development executive with extensive experience in the legal, internet/new media and entertainment industries. She is the US Director of Business Development for the largest global law firm in the world, and an active angel investor who invests and advises women and minority-led companies. Previous stints include working at a number of startups such as SelectMinds, developer of web-based social network programs for corporations acquired by Oracle and Community Connect, the publisher of the leading ethnic social networking websites BlackPlanet, AsianAvenue, and MiGente, acquired by Interactive One. Lorine had been feature in number publications, and was named by Marie Claire in its 2nd Annual New Guard feature as one of the "50 Most Connected Women in America" and named "20 Angel Investors You Should Know" by Black Enterprise.
Laura Sack
Laura has nearly 25 years of experience representing employers in employment law matters, including designing and conducting employee training programs, conducting workplace investigations and counseling management on employment law issues. Laura works with clients in a diverse array of industries, including media and entertainment, publishing, retail, marketing, and financial services, and she represents many not-for-profit entities as well.
Laura Spiekerman
Laura is the cofounder and Chief Revenue Officer at Alloy, which provides solutions to financial services companies to safely onboard more "good" customers. Laura started her fintech career in Nairobi as the first employee at Kopo Kopo, a SaaS and lending company focused on improving mobile payments for merchants in East Africa. After moving back to California, Laura led the emerging markets research and investments work at ImprintCapital (now Goldman Sachs). She then headed back to the startup world leading business development at Knox Payments, working on ACH payments online, before venturing out on her own startup.
Sarah Tune
Sarah is the co-chair of DWT’s corporate practice. She is a nationally-recognized M&A lawyer, representing companies and investors primarily in the consumer sector in mergers and acquisitions, equity financings and other complex business transactions.
