Data Sovereignty After the EU Safe Harbor Ruling
An overview of data sovereignty and data localization issues plus a discussion about the changing data protection landscape for companies with customers in the EU. The EU has dramatically changed the landscape for both US and EU companies, and companies are grappling with how to address these changes in their contractual and privacy structures.

Domain Names and All That
In 2016, the US NTIA is expected to transition its historic stewardship role to ICANN, the organization responsible for managing the Internet’s domain name system. The transition includes developing a governance system with new mechanisms to hold ICANN accountable to the global multi-stakeholder community. This change comes at a time of dramatic expansion of the DNS with hundreds of new top level domains delegated. This panel examined the new structure and its impact on the Internet ecosystem in key areas including trademarks and brands, dispute resolution, and operational stability.
