"Washington and Oregon Leave Programs," Davis Wright Tremaine Webinar

In this webinar, DWT partners provided an overview of Washington's Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) program, Oregon's Paid Family Medical Leave Program (which goes into effect in 2024), and explored the intersection with other leave laws. Our attorneys highlighted key considerations to help employers navigate the complexities of intersecting legal requirements and discuss other important aspects of these laws including:

  • Overview of Oregon and Washington leave laws, including paid family medical leave programs
  • Overview of Oregon and Washington paid sick and safe time laws and interplay with leave laws
  • Compliance challenges related to remote workforce and multistate operations
  • Policy considerations for multistate employers, including regarding employer provided parental leave benefits

The program featured one hour of substantive presentation, followed by a question and answer period. Attendees were encouraged to submit questions in advance of this webinar.
