Peter Bae is a member of DWT's litigation team, where he focuses his practice on class actions and other high-stakes, complex commercial litigation. Peter regularly counsels Fortune 50 companies, privately held companies, and leaders in the food and beverage, technology, entertainment, and financial services industries regarding business contracts, false advertising, unfair competition, product marketing and labeling, intellectual property, and other matters. Law.com, Law360, and other national publications have featured Peter's client victories.

Peter manages all stages of litigation, including law and motion practice, discovery, summary judgment, settlement negotiation, trial preparation, and appeals.

Prior to joining DWT, Peter was an inaugural law clerk for the Honorable Elayna J. Youchah of the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada.

Suarez v. Coverhound, Inc. et al.

Obtained order granting summary judgment and dismissing sole Private Attorneys General Act claim alleging brokerage firm and its subsidiary were liable as "joint employers" or as "successors" to plaintiff's former employer following an asset purchase. (Los Angeles Cnty. Sup. Ct. 2025)

Boyland v. TenThousand Projects, LLC et al.

Obtained order granting summary judgment and dismissing sole copyright infringement claim alleging Trippie Redd's "Death," which samples Three 6 Mafia's "Hit a Mutha*****," infringes upon plaintiff's copyright in his song "Pimps in the House." (C.D. Cal. 2025)

Caneer v. The Kroger Co.

Obtained order granting motion to dismiss all claims in Washington state court class action alleging grocers collected sales tax on exempt juice products. (King Cnty. Sup. Ct. 2023) Affirmed on appeal. (Wash. Ct. App. 2024) Recognized by Law360.com and Law.com's Litigator of the Week column.

Chesnut v. Ralphs Grocery Company

Secured voluntary dismissal of all claims in California state court class action alleging violations of California's Bottle Bill, after plaintiffs' counsel acknowledged demurrer was too "difficult" to oppose. (Orange Cnty. Sup. Ct. 2024)

Mukadam et al. v. GT's Living Foods, LLC et al.

Secured voluntary dismissal of all claims in California federal court class action alleging false advertising and unfair competition of kombucha products, after convincing plaintiffs' counsel of imminent disqualification and sanctions if they did not dismiss. (C.D. Cal. 2024)
