Andrea Carino
Paralegal
Andrea Cariño has been a paralegal since 1987. Her paralegal career at DWT started in 1991, and since 1994 she has been a member of the firm's employment services group, working on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants in civil and pro bono criminal matters.
Andrea's areas of focus include:
- Lead paralegal defending aerospace client in nationwide race-discrimination class action in which jury found for defense
- Lead paralegal defending county government in class action case
- Lead paralegal representing plaintiffs in civil rights case heard by U.S. District Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, Washington Supreme Court, and decided in client's favor by U.S. Supreme Court
- Lead paralegal in 2004 Washington state gubernatorial election recount and contest litigation
- Extensive experience in all aspects of litigation and trial, including fact gathering, conducting witness interviews, collecting electronically stored information and documents, conducting electronic document reviews, maintaining electronic exhibit databases, creating graphics and demonstrative exhibits, and using trial technology in the courtroom
