John Corcoran is an employment and labor attorney with decades of experience in private practice and as in-house counsel in California. His counseling practice focuses on California employers' most complex compliance and workplace issues. John also advises on employment issues connected with mergers and acquisitions, as well as trade secrets and confidentiality. He has represented clients in state and federal court as well as before the California Civil Rights Department (CRD), the EEOC, and the NLRB, defending against wage-and-hour complaints, PAGA actions, noncompete and other employment contract disputes, and allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, or violations of the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA). John is also a key advisor in all matters regarding employee relations.

Before joining DWT, John served as legal counsel with a broad portfolio at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He provided employment law counseling on harassment and discrimination prohibitions in a professional services environment and advised on developing and defending DEI initiatives. He has extensive experience with internal investigations, administrative inquiries and arbitration, regulatory compliance (particularly in the consulting and public accounting space), and employment and labor issues that intersect with commercial contract negotiations and drafting, major M&A deals, and offshore acquisitions and operations, with a focus on operations in India and China.
