Lukas Dudkowski advises technology clients on complex commercial transactions related to software and IP licensing; master purchase agreements; software development, services, and support agreements; sourcing/procurement; licensing in/out; M&A due diligence; open-source software, and IP litigation support. His approach is informed by his education in computer engineering and years of technical experience program manager for innovative companies creating new consumer devices, digital media, casual gaming, and hosted application environments.

Open-source software

Advised worldwide businesses on OSS licensing issues, including those with respect to the technical analysis of software products, education and training of technical teams, and review of licensees for products, tools, and potential community contribution.

Patent litigation

Drafted infringement and invalidity contentions; prepared and responded to discovery, discovery motions, and Markman briefings; analyzed patents-in-suit and prepared summaries of technical areas; drafted infringement and invalidity opinions; deposition and trial materials and participated in fact and expert depositions for patent infringement cases before federal district courts and U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) in Section 337 Investigations.

Technology program management

Assisted business-to-business mobile analytics provider with on-device marketing infrastructure, platforms, contract, and statement-of-work review. Managed projects related to cloud-based text messaging and core product development for startup company in wireless telecommunications/messaging sector.
