Chet Goldman Esq.

Chet Goldman focuses on real estate, right‑of‑way, and land use matters. He assists clients in purchasing, leasing, developing, and selling real estate and adeptly navigates various land development issues. His projects span from large infrastructure and essential public facility projects to single-site developments, including renewable energy projects, electrical infrastructure, and wireless telecommunications facilities.

Chet spent several years serving the Real Estate Services department at the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) as a senior land specialist, where he led a team in securing land rights for the public utility, including the rights necessary for a 1,000+ acre solar and battery development and the acquisition of a hydroelectric facility. His responsibilities included negotiations of purchase agreements, options, leases and easements.

Before his tenure at SMUD, Chet was a senior site acquisition and planning manager for two California-based wireless companies where he negotiated lease agreements, analyzed zoning codes, and helped his clients obtain discretionary land use approvals including CEQA compliance. He has also handled title, survey, and land use due diligence and negotiated services contracts for many client-driven development initiatives.
