Kim Kaald has extensive experience in the employee-benefits field, including plan design and drafting, compliance, plan corrections, employee communications, and plan mergers and terminations.

Kim's areas of focus include: 

• Partners with clients to resolve day-to-day employee-benefits compliance issues by researching and explaining the provisions of plan documents and applicable law
• Designs and drafts employee-benefit plan documents and related materials
• Assists clients with both governmental audits and preventive self-audits of employee-benefit plans
• Drafts employee communications, such as summary plan descriptions, required notices, and other explanatory documents
• Assists clients in correcting operational errors, by using the IRS self-correction procedures and by preparing applications for relief under various governmental correction programs
• Provides guidance to clients during employee-benefit plan mergers and terminations, including the analysis of protected benefit issues
