Michael Karas

Mike Karas takes a holistic approach to representing his clients with the goal of understanding what's driving a deal from a business standpoint. His background as in-house legal counsel for a real estate development company provides him with invaluable insight into the day-to-day business and legal issues experienced by developers, building owners, contractors and property managers.

Mike represents developers, property owners, purchasers, and tenants in all aspects of real estate transactions and development, including with respect to property acquisitions and dispositions, commercial leasing, due diligence and feasibility analyses, and financing. His practice further includes drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements including leases, subleases, financing agreements, purchase and sale agreements, license agreements, and easements. Above all, Mike uses his unique experience as a preschool teacher and a cowboy to spur all parties in a transaction towards a harmonious completion.
