Ally McLain
Associate
Ally McLain counsels employers on compliance and litigation matters, particularly those in Oregon and Washington. Her counseling practice focuses on wage and hour laws, accommodations, employee complaints, and all types of employment and termination agreements. She also has advised employers, insurers, and third-party claim administrators on state workers' compensation law.
In and out of the courtroom, Ally has extensive experience handling disputes over discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties, liability, and other claims. She assists clients in all stages of litigation, including mediation and arbitration, and drafts responses to the EEOC and state labor agencies. She also conducts workplace investigations.
Since 2018, Ally has held several attorney roles, including as in-house counsel at an energy storage manufacturer, where she conducted research on prevailing wage laws throughout the country to help guide contract negotiations. Before practicing law, Ally worked as a law clerk for the Bonneville Power Administration, where she assisted four legal teams on federal employment and energy law, landowner disputes, and other issues.
