Bill Miner works with his clients to resolve their legal problems through pre-litigation counseling, litigation, and mediation. Bill tries cases in state and federal courts and through private arbitration. His experience includes defending and prosecuting business torts; breach of contract claims; disputes between and among members of limited liability companies; residential and commercial real estate matters, including landlord-tenant, title, lien, and timber trespass disputes; and probate and trust cases.
Trial Experience
PCS v. PNWT
Obtained full defense verdict after four-day jury trial on breach of contract case between two Northwest companies.
Rose v. Nordt
Successfully prosecuted, through trial, claim of timber trespass. Client was awarded statutory treble damages and damages for mental anguish.
Buechley v. Buechley
Obtained full defense judgment after one-week bench trial in dispute between members of closely held limited liability company, including allegations of fraud and breach of fiduciary duties.
Renshaw v. Pacific Northwest Title, Inc.
Obtained full defense judgment after bench trial in breach of contract case brought by attorney (as an individual) against a Northwest company.
Minnich v. Sundance Shutter
Obtained full defense judgment after bench trial in breach of contract/rescission and unfair trade practices claims brought by an individual against a Northwest company.

Through mediation, favorably settled a multimillion-dollar estate dispute involving interpretation of decedent’s will and limited liability buy-sell agreements.
Pinson v. Deutsche Bank
Obtained summary judgment against estate on behalf of a subsequent purchaser where previous personal representative fraudulently transferred property.
Breach of Trust on behalf of charitable beneficiary
On behalf of large out-of-state charitable institution, brought suit against trustee of a southern Oregon trust and two individuals to reverse fraudulent transfer of property. The property was given back and a large attorney fee judgment was entered against the individuals.
Prosecution against fiduciary on behalf of beneficiary of charitable trust
On behalf of a large national youth organization, favorably settled property and estate dispute in eastern Oregon through mediation and threats of litigation.
Heller v. Heller
Represented successor trustee in breach of trust action against previous trustee and defended allegations by beneficiaries of breaches of trust and loyalty.

Multiple landlord clients v. multiple tenant defendants
Favorably settled hundreds of forcible entry and detainer (eviction) actions without trial for various manufactured home and floating home community owners and commercial landlords and tenants.
Rocky Pointe Marina v. Taylor
Filed preemptory action and obtained summary judgment against defendants relating to defendants’ rights in a floating home pursuant to Oregon’s personal property abandonment statute.
Happy Rock Home Owners Association v. Happy Rock Marina
Obtained summary judgment on behalf of defendant marina against coalition of tenants seeking to force sale of marina to tenants’ association.
Repman v. Casselman's Wharf Marina
