Mackenzie Olson is an employment attorney at the firm. Recognized by Best Lawyers as "one to watch" in labor and employment law, Mackenzie leverages experience gained as a litigator in order to resolve her clients' most complex employment challenges in and out of the courtroom. She also advises companies across an array of industries on compliance and other issues and assists in filings and appearances before state and federal agencies, arbitrators, and state courts, particularly in Alaska.
Before joining DWT, Mackenzie practiced in both labor and employment law and energy, environmental, and resource law. She has broad experience in Alaska's legal community: in addition to serving as an assistant district attorney in the Anchorage District Attorney's Office and as an assistant attorney general in the Office of Criminal Appeals, Mackenzie clerked for Judge H. Russel Holland at the U.S. District Court for the District of Alaska and for Judge David Mannheimer at the Alaska Court of Appeals. While pursuing her J.D., she clerked for the Washington State Attorney General's Office in the Natural Resources and Consumer Protection divisions and externed for Judge Stephen J.
