Samin Peirovi is an attorney specializing in renewable energy and regulatory matters. He is passionate about energy and environmental policy, leveraging his knowledge of Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) proceedings and grid-enhancing technologies to inform his law practice.
As an attorney in FERC's Office of Energy Policy and Innovation, Samin advised the commission on several landmark rulemakings involving renewables and competitive wholesale markets. He has extensive experience researching the concepts and regulatory framework of the Obama-era Clean Power Plan and other EPA initiatives; he previously advised a leading industry association on litigation involving the plan.
Samin is also knowledgeable on issues relating to RTO/ISO markets, distributed energy resources (DERs), battery storage, transmission planning and incentives, ratemaking, demand response, and other matters. During law school, as a congressional staffer, Samin assisted in drafting legislation, notably bills related to solar energy.
Trained in economics and environmental law, Samin is also an accomplished public speaker and panel moderator. He stays current with fast-changing energy law in order to provide clients with up-to-date advice.
