Shab Puri is a seasoned energy law attorney who drives the firm's engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracting work advising project developers, project owners, contractors, subcontractors, integrators, equipment suppliers, service providers, investors, financing parties, and others. He relies on a rich network of relationships developed over two decades of practice in the energy sector to secure high-value transactions and to support technology leaders, including DWT institutional clients, on their most important energy and infrastructure projects. Shab's expertise is also instrumental to powering the firm's growing data center development capabilities.
Shab partners with energy clients in both the conventional and renewable sectors, focusing on solar, battery storage, biomass, wind, and hydrogen projects. He handles engineering service agreements, professional services agreements, limited notices to proceed (LNTP), EPC agreements, equipment supply agreements (including project specific, master and framework agreements), operation and maintenance (O&M) agreements, long-term service agreements (LTSA), power purchase agreements, project-related financing and real estate matters, and general commercial matters.
As the founder of a Bay Area boutique firm focused on clean energy issues, Shab brings an entrepreneurial spirit to his work, serving to anchor the firm's national and West Coast energy practices. Shab's experience is a balance of detail-oriented finesse and support at large scales—he served as associate general counsel for the U.S. affiliate of a German solar developer and senior in-house counsel for the world's largest photovoltaic panel manufacturer.
