Michelle Quijano spent many years as in-house counsel to major entertainment companies and now represents a variety of clients from independent production companies to networks to streaming services and everything in between. Michelle uses her vast experience and insight to provide production and business-friendly advice on a wide array of issues and matters associated with the development and production of audio-visual content. Michelle's practice includes structuring, negotiating, drafting and advising on a variety of agreements in all areas of development and production of audio-visual content, including production services agreements, above-the-line talent agreements, acquisition and rights agreements, licensing agreements, chain-of-title analysis and creating and structuring forms and templates.
Michelle also acts as the primary show lawyer on both scripted and unscripted television projects where she manages and advises on day-to-day production-related matters, identifies and assesses potential legal issues associated with the same and presents business friendly solutions to keep productions on track. Michelle's deep experience as counsel in the entertainment industry allows her to help her clients implement best business practices, strategize deal structures, provide timely and thoughtful legal advice and propose practical, responsive, and actionable solutions. Prior to joining DWT, Michelle was a Vice President of Legal Affair at NBCUniversal and All3Media America, as well as Senior Counsel at ITV Studios.
