Adam Shapiro drafts and negotiates complex commercial transactions that implement data- and technology-driven innovations for clients in a variety of industries, including media, advertising, technology, entertainment, sports, esports, consumer products, and transportation. He represents global brands, agencies, and advertising technology companies in the negotiation of media agency services agreements and agreements for use of various ad technology platforms.

Adam has significant experience counseling clients in connection with mobile and digital marketing initiatives, social media campaigns and partnerships, privacy and data optimization, intellectual property, celebrity endorsement deals, brand integration, and net neutrality issues. Adam also advises clients in connection with joint ventures, broad corporate transactions, and general corporate matters.

Prior to law school, Adam worked as a media buyer for national broadcast television advertising. His clients included high-profile hospitality, gaming, and transportation companies.

Advertising, marketing, and adtech

Represents global brands, agencies, and advertising technology companies in the negotiation of media agency services agreements, deals related to storage and optimization of customer data, deals that enable brands to create custom audiences and run targeted ads, agreements between advertisers and demand-side-platforms (DSPs) as well as publishers and supply-side-platforms (SSPs), deals with vendors that assess campaign analytics, sponsorship agreements, celebrity endorsement deals, influencer agreements, and social media promotion deals.

Media and sports technology

Drafts and negotiates content and intellectual property licensing deals for video game companies, mobile apps, and streaming services; deals between digital media companies and tech vendors/service providers; and technology-related deals for professional sports teams, racing teams, and leagues—including mobile app development for teams, software development for scouting tools, licenses for athlete monitoring technology, and fan data optimization initiatives.

Technology transactions

Regularly drafts and negotiates a wide range of complex technology-related commercial transactions, including service provider agreements, website development deals, mobile application development deals, software development deals, inbound and outbound license agreements, SaaS agreements, and privacy and data optimization agreements.
