Michael Treves represents banks, fintechs, and other financial institutions on a wide range of regulatory, compliance, and enforcement matters before federal and state regulators. Michael advises clients on issues related to consumer financial protection, lending, payments, and the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering. Having served as an enforcement attorney at the New York State Department of Financial Services, Michael brings experience and perspective to clients responding to investigative requests and defending government enforcement actions.
Prior to joining the firm, Michael served as an associate at a multinational regulatory and litigation law firm and as a judicial clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. During law school, Michael interned in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Division of Enforcement.
