Conrad Wilton
Associate
Conrad Wilton drafts and negotiates all types of agreements for the development, production, and distribution of feature-length films and television series (including A-level writer, director, producer, and actor agreements). His practice further encompasses advising clients on clearance and licensing content, preparing clearance memorandums and fair use opinion letters, and television and documentary pre-broadcast review.
Prior to joining DWT, Conrad practiced at a transactional law firm specializing in the representation of film and television producers, distributors, and financiers. His work there included drafting and negotiating development agreements and serving as lead production counsel for streaming feature films. He also prepared distribution agreements, co-acquisition deals, sales agency agreements, and first-look agreements for a major motion picture group, and advised on various script and production clearance matters.
Before becoming a transactional attorney, Conrad worked as a litigator at an Am Law 100 firm where he prosecuted and defended entertainment-related matters, including breach of contract, copyright and trademark infringement, defamation, and right of publicity actions on behalf of media companies and talent. He also performed strategic management of trademark portfolios (including enforcement and prosecution) for multinational corporations, technology startups, and entertainment companies.
