Land use and development
Because no two projects or clients are alike, we integrate our attorneys efficiently into your existing team and project management structure. From communications and healthcare facilities to large-scale public transportation projects, we have worked on some of the region’s largest and most complex land development projects. We strive to provide all of our clients with the peace of mind that comes from knowing your project is in good hands.
Essential public facilities
Many larger, higher-impact, or specialized land uses benefit from a body of state and local laws that require essential public facilities to be accommodated by certain cities and counties. We have successfully worked with local governments and stakeholders throughout the region to help clients establish and operate these vital developments, ranging from transit and transportation to correctional and psychiatric care facilities. While these projects can be difficult to site and permit, we find that a collaborative approach, coupled with thorough knowledge of the legal protections available to essential public facilities, is key to success.
Master-planned communities
Master-planned facilities and communities are especially complex because of the long-term nature of these plans and the effort necessary to establish and maintain them through buildout phases that can span decades. We frequently advise on the development, permitting, buildout and implementation of master-planned developments, including the land use approvals, covenants and restrictions, and other documentation to ensure a strong legal foundation for our clients’ developments, which range from mixed-use residential developments to resorts and office parks.
